Online classrooms can feel dizzying, especially when there is a large group of active writers. You have several ways to stay on top of class activity without being overwhelmed.

1. News Feed

The News Feed makes it easy to stay on top of all class activity. It includes ALL class activity within the class, such as added comments, new work, critiques, responses to lesson discussions.

It keeps track of what you haven't read, and let's you quickly cycle through each notification using the arrows on top, next to the News tab.

2. Personal Notifications

While News Feed is great for seeing ALL of the class activity, Personal Notifications only show activity that is directly related to you. It contains activity related directly to your contributions to your classes -- in any class you are currently in, in any organization.

This can include any feedback on your work, any responses to any comments you've made in class discussions, lesson questions, or even feedback to other students. It will also include any private feedback from your instructor that you have received.

You can find these in the "Personal Notifications", located in the top navigation bar. Items you haven't read yet will be highlighted.

3. Emails

Wet Ink sends emails to you when have any personal notifications, but you also may receive a weekly summary email and new lesson reminders. You can choose to receive emails often or not all. These settings can be changed at any time in your "Account Preferences."
