News Feed
โ€‹
Use the News Feed to check all activity happening within your class, such as added comments, new work, critiques, responses to discussions and more!
This is constantly updating - so you will always be up to date.

This page keeps track of notifications that you have seen already and any unread notifications you have - the blue dot shows next to unread messages.

๐Ÿ’ก Useful Tips:
โ€‹
โ€‹1. The number next to "News" indicates how many new notifications you have that are just related to you.

If you filter by "unread" you will see the count for all unread notifications (just you and class)

2. There are two filtering functions:

  • Unread and All: view only unread notifications or all notifications.

  • Just Me and Class: view notifications that specifically relate to you (e.g. comments and critiques on your work or things you are tagged in).
Or view all class notifications (e.g. instructor posts a class assignment or discussion question).

3. Notifications are now grouped by event. For example, a response to an assignment is the "main" or "parent" event. Any comments, feedback, edits made on this response will be grouped underneath the original event.

For marking notifications as read, you can now mark each notification individually, mark the "parent" notification as read to mark all in that thread or simply us the general "mark all news as read" at the top of the page to clear all unread notification ("Just me" and "Class" together).

Mark the "parent" comment to mark all notifications for that thread as read.

Mark all your notifications as read by clicking the blue dot at the top of the news page.

Emails

Wet Ink will send you an email when you have any personal notifications. For example, if someone comments on your work or a discussion you are in.

Your instructor may also set up Weekly Summary emails - which gives you a breakdown of work posted to your class that week and new lesson reminders.
โ€‹
โ€‹๐Ÿ“Note: These emails will come from team@wet.ink - if you need to reply to the message, click on the link provided or message the participant directly. Responding to the notification email will not forward to the sender or your class.

You can set you own email preferences from with your account settings.
