There are two types of assignments that you can request from your students: writing assignments and annotation assignments.
Use annotation assignments to request that students collaboratively annotate and comment on a course reading.
These can be added to a class or as part of a lesson.

Add assignments to a class
1. Go to your Assignments page.
2. Click the New Assignment button.
Add assignments as part of a Lesson
1. Go to your Lessons page.
2. Click the title to enter the lesson.
3. Make sure you are in Edit Mode.
4. Click the Add Assignment button.
Set up an Annotation Assignment
Once you have added your assignment to your class or to a lesson, you will need to fill in the assignment details.
1. Select Annotation Assignment.
2. Add a title and description.
3. Set a start date (when you want the assignment to be visible to your students).
4. Click Add Assignment.
5. Add your text - you can either upload a document from your computer or write directly into the content block.
6. Click Save.
💡Tip: Enter edit mode to set a due date and mark he assignment as "optional". Note - optional assignments will not have reminders after the due date has passed
